Legends race car mod built using real life legends data by legends mechanic with legends racing experience.

Mod includes over 60 real life skins from the Finnish series from 2014 - 2018
(the skins are 2K so the mod size in total extracted is about 1.5gig)

Graphics by dauntless
Engine sounds by Venom34
Physics by Juise, Husa, roq
Skins by Shadow118, roq, Pasi Kovanen, Nrde, Huuhkaja and few others

Quick guide:
- 590kg (with driver)
- 150++ hp
- 0 - 100 km/h 4 seconds. max speed ~200 km/h
- Drive before touching the setups.
- The rear differential is spooled 100% locked so the car refuses to turn without gas, so brake before the corner and apply gas while turning.
- Available setups: front toe & camber, spring load, ride height, final gear, brake balance, tire pressure.

NOTE: For best driving experience:

Set your FOV correct: FOV CALCULATOR
Correct / Small Field of View might feel funny at first but after one night of driving you'll notice you have much more time and room in the track and thus you can drive more accurately.

Set our assetto corsa settings -> view correct:
- Remove cornering glance and reduce the head movements to zero or something very low
- Driving position can be seen by pressing F5 when the FOV APP is open ingame (default is set to be exactly where the driver eyes should be) you can adjust seat height and fore aft settings when you are in correct driving view (selectable by pushing F1 in game: bonnet, dash, INCAR, low chase, high chase)

FFB: We recommend removing all FFB enhancements in Assetto Corsa - Settings - Controllers at first.
Add them later and see how they affect. This car is very small and nimble so the more you can actually feel from it the easier it will be.

For Thrustmaster T300
1601989896967.png

I personally have used for few years 100% force with no i'll results, so just go for it :)

Logitech:
1601990081394.png

Previously when i had G25 i used 107% force as it lessened the dead area in the forces around the center.

MIN FORCE: Minimum force can be calculated with THESE INSTRUCTIONS
Usually Logitech wheels and thrustmaster T300 etc are around 10%. This enhances the force feedback at the lower end greatly.

Legends cars are tube frame purpose built racecars covered with fiberglass body.
Cars all have the same parts (driveline, shocks, tires, brakes).

Steering Legends cars have very fast steering. Tires turn 84° from lock to lock and in steering wheel that means 315° Also the rims have much offset so there is a big scrub radius which creates strong steering input in certain situations. The street tires and the tread somewhat softens this.
Assetto Corsa sets these up by the car.ini in the mod, so you just need to set your wheel to it's maximum in the settings as instructed by the game.

Engine in all cars and in this mod is aircooled yamaha xjr1300 (just now upgrade to watercooled fz-09 has begun in usa, but we don't have experience on it to create it to this mod yet)

Gearbox is sequential and no reverse gear because of the motorbike engine (in the mod you have reverse which has very short gear ratio as assetto makes it mandatory to have a reverse gear and because in uk it is mandatory for all track class cars to have reverse and they have made separare reversing gearbox to their legends)

Rear end in legends cars is live axle with spool instead of differential. This creates understeer while off throttle and oversteer if you even think about the gaspedal.

Suspension numbers in the setup screen starts from 0 being 175lb spring and from there on 1 = 200, 2 = 225. Normal roadcourse setup is somewhere 225 or 250 in the front and 200 or 225 in the back.
Absence of antirollbars make the car lean in to corners a lot, so you really have to learn to play with the weight changes ie. try not to unsettle the car too much.
Let it glide ;)

Tires are normal treaded road tires cut to camber to the outside edge to prevent tire from tilting over from the bodyroll and thus gain bit more grip while cornering.
This camber cutting also creates special handling to the car as the full tread on the inner edge of the tire makes grip feel loose, but when cornering car leans and the tread thins down to almost a slick and that changes the grip and handling of the tire. This has been really hard to dial in to the mod, but i feel it is a sufficient reproduction of the real thing.
In the mod the best grip comes at around 3rd or 4th lap. The FFB also gets a bit heavier with it. So before you touch any setups just go and drive.

Tire pressures should stay hot around 23 - 24psi max, maybe less. The higher it gets the more accurate but twitchy the car becomes. In real Legends used pressures are very low and in the game the physics don't mimick that very well so you just need to see how high the pressures get with your driving style and if they get too high drop the cold pressure in the setup (this is somewhat simplified way compared to what happens in real life, but it is what it is)

Tire temps are ok when they are over 40c. We had to ease this up a bit as assetto corsa tire temp management is less than optimal and you can't have even a simulated warmup lap.
Tire blankets even though are not used in real Legends racing we implemented them to be at 40°C to use by the race organizer to kind of simulate a warm up and have better racing in the first corners WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND USING THIS FEATURE IN RACES.

Brakes on a legends car are unventilated discs at the front and drums at the rear. This creates changing braking balance as at first you have also rear brakes but when they heat up you start gradually losing them.
You can adjust this during a race with the incar brake balance. Also the fronts heat up after a while so the braking evolves from cold to operating temperature in lap or two.
Brake in straight line, turn in and apply gas to prevent understeering while cornering.

Ride height is in real life cars 89mm minimum but as it's measured without driver and as assetto corsa does the measurement with driver, minimum height has been lowered 10mm to match real life situation with driver. Usually you want to have the rear bit higher to make the car turn easier. You shouldn't need to force the car to turn.

Baseline setup is created to be quite close to what many drivers use in real life. You should start learning to drive without touching anything until you get the hang of how legends car works.
If the car feels too twitchy you may want to have some toe in.

Camber In the tires there is additional -0.5° of camber set in them since we cannot add any camber to live rear axle in Kunos code. So when the setup in front axle says -2 degrees in real life you actually would have -2.5.
Smaller camber (-1.5 - -2) makes the turn in more crisp, but the car also becomes quite hard to drive. Bigger camber needs more lean from the car to work so turn in is more smooth but at some corners may even be a bit slow to turn.

Caster Caster is fixed in assetto corsa as it comes straight from the physics and in our version of the legends car the caster is set to 7 degrees as FFB seems to be more strong the bigger it is and 7° is the biggest i could set up legally in my own racecar where the dimensions were taken from.

I'll post few videos to give you a clue how the worlds fastest Finnish guys go at it (notice the quite small steering effort):

My uncle is in his rookie year racing legends in Ireland, I got this mod and all I can say is that I am blown away with the realism of it.
lovely car but i have 2 problems: first one is that it doesnt cut the gas when shifting, i think it should (?) and the other one is that i have no FFB. I tried also other cars, my wheel works, everything works, but as soon as I start driving it the FFB becomes 0 (when it is stoped in neutral, the ffb is active). help please!
I've been racing for 25 years, this is the most fun car I've driven...the author was facilitated by the short wheelbase type of car, but he did an excellent job, I suggest adding the 2.50 finish (some people use it in reallife) to take advantage of it on longer circuits...in the meantime I added it myself... it's a merry-go-round <3 Juise, Husa, roq, Venom34
@racedepartent: add 10stars option for this mod
Excellent and fun mod to drive, maybe a follow up with the estate style body in the future?
The car don't cut throttle in upshift. Is possible fix it? For the rest is amazing and funny
Such a fun car to drive. It really is. Thank you for sharing your work :)

A great fun one-make race car, which also helps serve as a great entry level machine for oval racing in spite of AC's limitations for running such a race type.
FANTASTIC!!!!!
Thankyou for this great mod. Excellent fun to drive.

I just stumbled upon this mod... This. Is. Awesome. What a beauty! It feels like it _could_ kill you (like many oder cars) but doesn't really want to because it wants the driver to survive. I love it!
Super cool mod it’s super realistic feels like a real thing!
And can u add me there too Tony Aho 2014 number #112
Una delle migliori mod esistenti. Da avere assolutamente! N1!
Wow. Forget about the other ford34legend mods, this is the one to have.

The best car mod I have ever run in twenty years of sim racing. Hat's off to whomever was involved, and I thank you very much!
Happy to leave a 5 star review for this mod. Had me smiling from the moment I left the pits. Felt really great around Bikernieki High Speed Ring and VIR North Course (anything with lots of corners really)
This car is brilliant fun, fantastic racing. Thank you very much. Have a great day :)
Excellent! The feeling is very realistic, also judging by how it looks compared to real life races. Few things to set up (as it has to be for such cars) but with the right amount of customization of the bhavior to one's driving preferences. Had a duel with a friend a few days ago on Magione circuit, possibly the most fit kind of track for these cars. If you wish I can link videos.
Awesome mod, and a nightmare to drive! multiplayer races are awesome, the small size of the cars makes you feel you're driving a hotwheels car, with plenty of space to overtake but having the car moving from one side to the other wildly... really really fun to drive, especially in small circuits!
Great work, magnificent car.
One of the best mod for AC.
Thank you so much ;)
Awsome MOD, drive and sound great
Please fix the collider and LODs
